URGENT OUT OF HOURS CALLS

From 6.30pm to 7.00am and over weekends and on public holidays a rota duty doctor (another local GP) from EMDOC, the emergency out-of-hours service based at Princess Royal University Hospital, will receive your call and respond. The doctor will offer medical advice or, if necessary, arrange for the patient to be seen at the base, unless the patient is too ill, in which case a visit will be arranged.

To contact the doctor, you should telephone the usual surgery number - 01689 820268, where your call will be transferred automatically to the EMDOC duty doctor.

PLEASE USE THE EMERGENCY SERVICE APPROPRIATELY AND NOT AS A ROUTINE ADVISORY SERVICE.

ACCESS POLICY

Patients are able to access advice and care in several ways at the surgery either by booking an appointment with a preferred GP or Nurse, or if unable to get to the surgery a home visit can be requested, the doctor will usually telephone before the visit.
We have a triage nurse who is available to discuss any concerns you may have about your health, please telephone the surgery and the nurse will call you back.

The doctors and nurses will take telephone calls after surgery, if you would like to speak to them on the telephone.

We guarantee a clinical response on the day to patients requiring urgent care and advice.
